General information
As Professor of Coastal Engineering and Oceanography, I have worked on monitoring and modelling the coastal environment (circulation, sediment and pollutant transport, and wave propagation), operational oceanography, design of coastal structures and sewage outfalls, satellite oceanography and coastal zone management for more than 27 years. I have participated in several international and national research projects, among which in 12 as the scientific responsible and have published 118 papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals and international and national scientific conferences. My research interests include: Modelling coastal processes Physical oceanography Coastal hydrodynamics Marine environment monitoring Outfall design and impact evaluation Sediment transport Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM)
