Celebrating 90 years of Mathematics

The department of mathematics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is celebrating its 90th anniversary with a two-day symposium, to take place on its premises on Wednesday 19 and on Thursday 20 December 2018.
The purpose of the symposium is threefold. The department aims to:
- Provide an overview of the state-of-the-art research in a wide spectrum of areas of Mathematics.
- Bring together leading researchers, graduates of the department, with the department’s current undergraduate and postgraduate body.
- Recognize and advocate the impact and the contributions of the Department and its alumni to research and society in general.
