Celebrating 90 years of Mathematics

The department of mathematics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is celebrating its 90th anniversary with a two-day symposium, to take place on its premises on Wednesday 19 and on Thursday 20 December 2018.

The purpose of the symposium is threefold. The department aims to:

  1. Provide an overview of the state-of-the-art research in a wide spectrum of areas of Mathematics.
  2. Bring together leading researchers, graduates of the department, with the department’s current undergraduate and postgraduate body.
  3. Recognize and advocate the impact and the contributions of the Department and its alumni to research and society in general.
