ACADEMIC - Assistant Professor in Kinesiology of Volleyball with an emphasis on Beach Volleyball at A.U.Th., Greece. Teaches Beach Volley and Volleyball. - Conducts scientific research in a wide variety of areas of Beach Volley and Volleyball studying biomechanics and team performance. - Ph.D (2004): “Biomechanical differences in elite beach-volleyball players in vertical jumps on rigid and sand surfaces”. - Numerous presentations in international scientific congresses and seminars, scientific publications and reviewer in journals. - Lecturing and teaching in Erasmus+ in Spain (7 times), Austria and Erasmus+ International in Russia, Jordan, China (2 times), Lebanon, USA, Montenegro, Japan and Argentina. COACHING - Coach of Beach Volley players at FIVB and National level winning many Championships in all age groups (2000-2018). - Coach of the most successful team in Hellenic Beach Volley history and Champions of Greece in 2016, 2017 and 2019. - Athletes he coached took the 2nd place in FIVB World Championship U18, 4th place in FIVB WC U21 and CEV EC U21. - Five athletes he coached became Greek Champions and 12 of his athletes won at least one major (Masters) tournament in Greece. - Head Coach of ARIS, PAOK and Lamia for men’s Volleyball (2011-2015) and took the 4th (2012) and 6th place (2013, 2014) in A1 Volley-league. - Head Coach of ARIS (2004-05), Filathlitikos (2005) for women’s volleyball A1 Volley-league. - National Beach Volley Coach of Greece (2011-16) BEACH VOLLEY CAREER - Played almost 200 tournaments in National and International level 1991-2006. - Had the all Time Career Record for medals (34) in Hellenic Beach Volley History (1994 - 2006) until 2017. - Ranked 1st in Hellenic Ranking in 2001 and 2002, 2nd in 1998 and 3rd in 1999, 2003, 2004. - Best International Performances: 2nd (QAT); 9th (GRE) and 25th (ESP) in CEV European finals; 3rd (GRE) in BVA; 9th (BUL) in FIVB Challenger; 1st (TUN), 2nd (CZE), 4th (TUR).
