Teaching

Teaching at the University the following undergraduate and graduate courses: 1) Wood Technology, 2) Chemistry and Chemical  Technology of Wood, 3) Environmental Effects of Wood Utilization

 

 

Recent Research activities

Utilization of lignocellulosic materials in wood composite plastics (WPCs), recycling of wood wastes in wood panels, electrospinning of cellulose and biodegradable polymers to nanofibers.

 

 

Professional Activities

Active research, undergraduate and graduate education in Wood Technology. Author or co-author of 135 publications in English and Greek (research papers, monographs, books and articles on wood  technology, forest exploitation and wood industry development). Project Leader or Co-researcher in various Research Programs. Reviewer of Scientific Journals, and Evaluator of Research Proposals. Member of various working scientific and technical committees for establishing policy on forest utilization, wood and furniture industry development, standards etc. in Greece and EE, member of several committees for organizing scientific symposiums, meetings and seminars
