I am a PhD student at the Dept. of Informatics, at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
I am also a member of the ISKP (Intelligent Systems & Knowledge Processing) research group, which is a branch of the LPIS (Logic Programming & Intelligent Systems) group at the same university.
Education
I hold a BSc degree in Mathematics (2003) from the Dept. of Mathematics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an MSc in Computer Studies (2004) from the Dept. of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering at the University of Essex, United Kingdom.

Research
My research is focused on knowledge-based systems and the Semantic Web. More specifically, I am working on a system, called DR-DEVICE, which is a defeasible logic reasoner for the Semantic Web domain. My task so far was to enhance the system with rule and ontology visualization modules. Our current focus, however, lies in extending the underlying defeasible reasoning mechanisms with modal logic functionality.
