I hold a diploma degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). For my diploma thesis, I designed a system that acquires, records and processes biological signals for the Intensive Care Unit of the Ahepa Hospital of Thessaloniki.
After graduating on July 2000, I remained at the same department as a PhD candidate. During my graduate studies, I worked in the areas of biomedical engineering and wireless communication, participated in various research projects (1999 - 2006) and gained teaching experience (2001-2005). In my PhD thesis, I proposed several ways of 'modulating' the base station antennas in order to maximize the capacity of wireless wideband networks.
I completed my PhD studies on March 2006. On July 2006, I joined the Directorate of Computerization (AUTh), where I provided software support on Human Resources, Accounting and Payroll infrastructure. On September 2009, I moved to Chania (Crete). Since then, I work at the Directorate of Telecommunications, Networks and Computer Infrastructure of the Technical University of Crete (TUC).
