In November 2006 he acquired the postgraduate diploma in "Antiseismic Design of Structures", launched by the Department of Civil Engineering, A.U.Th. Since then he is pursuing a PhD degree in this department. His research focuses in the computational earthquake engineering and particularly in the modeling of seismic loads on structures. He investigates methods for selection and scaling of real accelerograms, non-linear dynamic analyses of structures, soil - structure interaction phenomena and electronic tools (software development) for the analysis and design of R/C structures and bridges.
