I am in the process of writing a book on:
"Global Dynamics and Bifurcations: Methods and Applications"
The following papers are a preliminary survey of the Conley index
approach
to global bifurcations.
The book will also include material on the familiar Silnikov example
and the less familiar description of bifurcations on the boundary of
the set of Morse-Smale functions (Sotomayor, Newhouse et.al.)
