Presentation Skills and Techniques
Why?
In many professional and academic contexts, the ability to communicate orally technical information is just as important as the ability to write well. Making an effective oral presentation is a skill that can be taught and improved.
What?
This seminar concentrates exclusively on the skills you need to develop in order to make the presentation process easier and the actual delivery organized, accurate and effective. We will look at the style of a presentation, at the range of visual aids used to support it and the performance techniques.
Participants apply the theory through real time presentations; these are video-taped and are subsequently evaluated by the tutor, the classmates and the presenters themselves.

I participated in the “Presentation Skills and Techniques” seminar in March 2012.
What have I gained?
I realized that it is really important to have a sound knowledge of what someone presents and under no circumstances rely only on power point presentations. On several occasions I presented the Aristotle Racing Team project and I found out that self confidence adds ‘bonus’ on presentations.We generally get very positive comments on this area and as far as I am concerned I believe that the seminar contributed a lot to this direction. If a similar seminar is organized I will participate again!
