athens hackable metropolis

invitation to participate in the workshop, organized by Faculty of Communication and Mass media, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Department of Media Studies, University of Amsterdam, and the Mobile city research group

post graduate students from the “Communication environments in the physical and the digital world” course and invited architects, artists and curators worked in multidisciplinary groups to develop ‘hackable’ city making prototypes with regard to four different cases from the city of Athens


"hack a city light" project

guiding a group of 3 post-graduate students into creating an interactive public debating tool, to be used in a city, in order to enable citizens address issues in specific locations. The project, enables citizens to connect with public lights using their phones or tablets, and address local issues at stake, thus interactively changing the color and intensity of public lighting
